In the Edda, Sága is the Asyne of tales and legends and the wife of Vígríd.

She is the daughter of Wotan and the sister of Thor. She is mentioned just after Frigg in the list of Asynes!* That’s quite something!!!

She lives in Sökkvabekkr « the treasure hall », a very beautiful house in Ásgard with a mead spring in the middle! 

Every day she brings a golden cup filled with this drink to her father Wotan! 

In the Grímnismál, Wotan, disguised as Grímnir, tells young Agnar that he and Sága are happily drinking mead from golden cups as the waves crash **

Her husband is Vígríd! « the plain where the battle rages », the battlefield a hundred miles on a side where the ultimate battle of Ragnarök takes place!
