The Four Worlds of the Yggdrasil

In the Universe of the Magick are distinguished four « Worlds », which signify « levels of existence », Identifed by their Eddics names.

This is what Snorri speaks of in Chapite 51 of the Gylfaginning without going into details, of course.. the Christians were waiting for him at the corner..

These are : 

— Gimlé, the world of the Divine: 

— Sindri, the world of mind: 

— Brimir, the astral world of images and emotion:

— and Erda, the world of matter.

Sometimes these four levels of existence are shown diagrammatically as horizontal layers in descending order this is useful to remind the student to distinguish the functions of each of these levels apart from the others. 

As a fact, the functions of the four Worlds interpenetrate considerably both in the outer cosmos and in our own being, but for that very reason care is needed not to confuse them in thought or in practical working.
